Padmasana

Method :- Bend one leg, place the ankle on opposite thigh, close to the groin. Bend the other leg, place the ankle on the thigh of the bent leg, close to the groin. Place the hands on knees, in Gyan Mudra.

Benefits :- Body becomes steady, so mind becomes calm. Directs prana from Mooladhara chakra to Sahasrara Chakra. Due to pressure on lower spinenervous system is relaxed. Breath becomes slow, muscular tension decreases, blood pressure reduces. Stimulates digestive process in meditative posture.

Caution :- Person who is Suffering from sciatica or knee pain avoid doing this asana.
